The Turtle Tactio bit is part of the Turtle family from Neue Schule. These bits have a unique shape that’s been designed to give a comfortable working angle by sitting further back in the mouth and wrapping itself around the tongue. The concave underside of the cannon gives a greater weight-bearing surface without the need for more bulk. It’s recommended for horses who have larger tongues, or who tend to bunch their tongue back or out. It comes with a universal cheek piece which makes it compatible with a large number of different reins and can also accommodate a curb strap.
